Those who pick quartz countertops do so for a number of different reasons, but one of the most common reasons is the fact that quartz needs little maintenance and it’s easy to clean. Since we’ve installed a great number of quartz counters around Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Granite team thought we should take this chance to go over some cleaning techniques for your quartz countertops.
You should give your quartz counters a normal, everyday cleaning. Luckily, it won’t take you much time to handle. Just take a soft, damp cloth to the surface, and wipe it dry upon completion. If you make a mess, be sure to clean up it as fast as possible.
Deep cleaning is when you give your quartz countertops a good, thorough cleaning after a long period of use or when a stain is accidentally left to sit. When you want to tackle this task, you have a few options. You can use an over-the-counter cleaner, as long as it’s not abrasive, doesn’t contain bleach and is mild. Another option is just to mix warm water and dish soap together. Soak the solution in a cloth and wipe it on your quartz countertops.
When you do a deep cleaning, make sure to rinse away the cleaner once you’ve finished. This way, you can be sure no reside was left behind.
